For the traveler I am, managing a foreign team is a delightful and unique experience. First time I arrived in Iceland, I was really slapped by the beauty of the landscapes, the smell of the plants and the taste of the fish dishes cooked all around my neighborhood in Akureyri.
However, now we have reached another important milestone of our transforming plan as we have now and finally a full-Icelandic squad (thanks to the "moderate" pressure from the national Federation and the Government), I have now a daily big problem to solve.
How is it not possible to make a mistake when I need to choose between these riders for a peculiar race or Tour ? Hmmm ? Tell me !
Hjörtur Björgmundursson, Hugljótur Sigurbergursson, Hugleikur Sigurlaugursson, Hugmóður Svanlaugursson ... I'm getting mad when I need to call them !
So, please, allow us to put nicknames on our riders, like in football. It'll be a lot easier to pick up "Smelly Cat Hjörtur", or "Baby Driver Hugljórtur", or ... Wait, I think it's the opposite ! Ah damn ...

Hahaha yes, kind of Erwin.
That's a good question, I did a try on Google Translate, pronunciation is complicated

Somehow it feels like elfs being managed by a dwarf when I see your team!
Also still very curious how you pronounce Sigsteinn Jóhannv. V=u here?
@Yuri : Hermenegildo seems very outdated, something form the Lusiads probably :p
@Dustin : Haha yes, this is a hard task !
great names, success with yelling them during a race
also great stuff for reporters, nice names to talk about
Great article, very funny to read!
As I'm Portuguese, managing a full Portuguese Team allows me to avoid that problem :)
Still, there are a couple of Portuguese names that I never heard about before. Who the hell is called "Hermenegildo"? Nevermind, great article!
Yes, agree, it could also become a total mess with nicknames everywhere !
Hahaha, a Nickname feature would be cool, but also risky, as people could use it to taunt each other as well. ;)
I feel for you though, the Icelandic names are truly the most difficult ones in the game!
